Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as:
- Copying text, data, ideas, or figures from other sources without proper citation
- Reproducing one’s own previously published work without acknowledgement (self-plagiarism)
- Submitting unauthorized or manipulated data as original research
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form.
Screening Process
- All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection using tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate
- Manuscripts exceeding 15% similarity (excluding references and methodology) may be rejected or returned for revision
- Editors may request authors to revise sections to reduce similarity
Author Responsibilities
Authors must:
- Ensure that their work is original and properly cited
- Properly acknowledge all sources of data, text, or figures
- Avoid duplicate submissions to multiple journals simultaneously
Editorial Action
If plagiarism is detected:
- Minor similarity: Authors are asked to revise the manuscript
- Significant plagiarism: Manuscript is rejected
- Severe misconduct: Authors may be banned from future submissions and reported to their institutions
Reference Policy
- All references must be properly formatted according to the journal’s Author Guidelines
- Direct quotes should be clearly marked and cited
